We aim to achieve the highest standards in ethics, environmental protection, occupational health, and safety in collaboration with our suppliers. In this context, it is our fundamental responsibility to ensure that none of the products we supply contain metals sourced from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and neighboring countries that finance conflict in the region (tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold – collectively referred to as “conflict minerals”.

 

Kıvanç Plastik is committed to avoiding any activities that contribute to the financing of conflicts, complying with the relevant United Nations sanctions and, where applicable, the local laws implementing these decisions. We also support and expect our business partners and suppliers to adhere to the same obligations.

 

We expect our suppliers to ensure that these metals, if present in their components, are sourced only from conflict‑free origins throughout their supply chains.

 

In this regard, Kıvanç Plastik has adopted the following commitments regarding the procurement of minerals from conflict‑affected and high‑risk areas:

Our Commitments

• To work jointly with our suppliers to identify any conflict minerals in our supply chain, including information such as smelter/refiner, country of origin, and mine location.​

• To take action in cooperation with our suppliers to eliminate identified risks, and to terminate business relationships with suppliers if risk mitigation efforts fail.​

• To refrain from and oppose any offer, solicitation, or acceptance of bribery or similar practices aimed at concealing or misrepresenting the origin of minerals.​

• To support and contribute to effective efforts to eliminate money laundering where it is linked to or arising from the illegal taxation, extortion, trade, distribution, transportation, or export of minerals in mining areas, trade routes, or points of access.​

• To cooperate, where necessary, with suppliers, national or international authorities, institutions, civil society organizations, and affected third parties to prevent or mitigate risks of adverse impacts related to conflict minerals.​
